STINGRAY PRO TOURING NO TRADES! If you don't like a LOT OF ATTENTION wherever you go, this is not the car for you. This is an absolutely rock solid, rust free chassis and bird cage car. As far as I know for at least the last 20 years, its been out west in OK or TX. I've poured buckets of money into this car and its mechanically, practically a brand new car. Yes, I know it is a '64 with a '67 front clip. Also, if you're a purist, move on, this car is not for you. Ok, now for the nuts and bolts. It has:383 Stroker, 4 bolt main, forged scat crank forged pistons, H-beam rods, Dart Pro aluminum heads, SS valves. This is a Generation 2 motor, full roller, cam, lifters, rockers. Puts out 430 horse and 510 ft lbs of torque. This motor has been built by Prestige Engines and has 2 years remaining left on the warranty. The entire cooling system is new, radiator, hoses. The car DOES NOT over heat or run hot. It has dual pusher fans for the a/c as well as the flex fan. I can be in traffic in a 100 degree day with the a/c going full blast and it runs about 190 degrees. The entire front suspension has been rebuilt. New upper and lower control arms with bushings and ball joints. All new tyrods and sleeves.Fresh 4 wheel alignment. All new brake lines, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brakes, complete brake system fluid flush. I have no problem with drum brakes. All new air conditioning system. brand new wheels and tires on it. Rebuilt differential out of a '72 Corvette which is a stronger case and yokes. It has 3.73 gears. At 70 MPH it turns approximately 3200 RPM which is the torque band of the motor. All new U-Joints, rear bushings, stabilizer arms and adjustable rear shocks. It has Ricaro type leather racing seats with new GM seat belts. I love this carDoors open and close clean, no issue. New headlight motors. Yes, headlights work, turn signals work, brake lights work, windshield wipers work. No cracks in windshield glass. This car is truly a joy to drive. The car is tight. She shits and gets it! Goes straight, stops straight. Things that don't work - interior lights, windshield fluid squirter. The car is in my opinion a 5 footer. It is definitely an excellent driver. There are numerous small stone chips, a couple scratches here and there and a little spider webbing, typical areas around the front of the car where the headlights are. I do drive this car and quiet a lot. This is not a trailer queen (although I refer to her as "baby"). Yes the car was originally a stick and the clutch pedal is still there and the shifter looks like a stick, but its not. It is a ratchet type automatic shifter. The trans is a 350 turbo with 2800 stall converter with a mild shift kit. Still has cable drive tachometer which is actually a matching number part for this car.
