Up for auction is my 1970 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Bus. Recently finished, it features many new and restored items and is definitely a head turner.The body is painted Pastel White, which is the original color of the bus. Single stage PPG was used, and it looks great. It was painted inside and out. During reassembly, new glass seals, door seals, body seals were installed. New lenses, bezels, chrome, and rubber exterior parts were also installed. There are louvered windows on each middle side frame, and they both operate well, letting in the breeze while camping or relaxing. The front door handles, back hatch handle, decklid handle are original to the bus, and were polished before reinstalling with new seals. The poptop was painted with a two part epoxy paint, and new seals were installed along with a new canvas top from Wolfsburg West. Many other new items including antenna, hubcaps, wiper blades, etc. Inside, there are new mats and flooring, along with all new upholstery. The rear seat folds down into a bed, and there is also a cot that installs over the front seats (not pictured). There is a jump seat behind the driver seat with storage underneath. The icebox/sink unit is original, and in good condition. The original bug screen that snaps across the back hatch is also included, its in great condition. New door panels, new headliner, new wood paneling inside are also look great.The original engine was rebuilt approximately 2500 miles ago, and runs great. The transmission operates well, new CV boots were installed, along with new brake shoes/pads all around, new soft brake lines, tie rod ends, drag link, and steering damper. Drives straight, brakes straight, and sounds good. I accept bank transfers, cashiers checks, personal checks and cash in person for payment. The mileage is approximate, and due to the age of the Bus, cannot verify if it is true. If paying with cashiers check, money order or bank transfer, payment must clear before releasing the title.
