Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1969 Buick Skylark Convertible. This is a very nice, clean driver quality vehicle. Keeping that in mind, the paint job is beautiful with only minor flaws. The motor runs smooth, does not smoke or tick and the transmission shifts perfect. It steers straight and rides very nice. Under the hood is a 350, 2 barrel and everything appears to be original and untouched. A/C is hooked up with some freon in the system but the air is not blowing cold. I am almost certain it will just need a charge. The blower motor must have a loose connection because it stalls occasionally when turning on. The interior is very nice. The front and back seat have been re-upholstered. The front seat is power and makes a noise but the seat is not moving. I am not sure if this is an easy fix or not but I want everyone bidding on this to be aware of it. The dashboard does not have any cracks. The door panels are very nice. It also has a brand new stereo system with speakers in the front and rear. All glass is good with the exception of one small chip in the front window. The trunk is in good shape and original with only one bad spot on a corner seam. It appears to have been sealed up (see photo). It also come with a matching jack and factory rally wheel/tire. Convertible top is in excellent condition and works as it should. All lights are working except the blinkers, most likely a blinker fuse. I am going to check it out. It has new dual exhaust. The frame and floor pans are in good shape. As far as the body goes the only two things that I can draw attention to are the slight bend in the rear bumper (see photo), and the drivers door needs a slight adjustment but does close fine. Front tires are in good shape, back tires are getting thin and will need replaced soon. It also needs a front drivers side upper a-frame bushing but does not keep you from driving the vehicle. This is a fun car to drive and I always get thumbs up wherever I go. Other than a few small issues that I have listed this is a great vehicle that I am selling at a low reserve. Feel free to email with any questions other than reserve price.
