You are Bidding on: 1971 71 Suzuki T250R ORIG LOW MILE SURVIVOR ORIG. OWNER UN-MOLESTED Original Candy Green with a silver stripe I bought this bike from the original owner. This one has a very funny story behind it. I was driving down the road one day and I saw this guy pushing this bike. So I stopped and asked him if he needed help. I have ramps in my truck. He said, "No, I am taking it to the dump." !!!? I said, no, I will buy it from you, then take you back home. He said you have a deal. Come to find out, he was the original owner. So, the bike is all original and is all there except the turn signals are missing. I might be able to get them from him. It has the original mint owners manual, and all the original unused keys, except for the one he used on the bike. The paint and body work is all in near mint condition. The tank does have rust inside however. According to him, it needs a piston in one cylinder, which he gave me a new piston, rings and gaskets. I am not 100% sure about that however, but I will forward those parts with the bike. The engine kicks over and seems to have good compression. Even if it does need it, it is a pretty simple job. It has 5412 original miles on it and the bike has never been down or even dropped. It is a true time capsule As you can see in the speedo picture, the gauges are in perfect unfaded condition. The bike has sat in his garage for since 1974, so it really needs to be brought back to life and cleaned up. First of all, all the bodywork, tank, side covers are in perfect condition as far as it having no cracks, no broken tabs etc. The paint is all original as well as the stripes and warning labels, but each piece have scratches, chips etc. The tank is rusty inside, and has some minor flaws in the paint, but again, it is all original paint which is still nice and shiny. It would need plugs, and a battery The brakes all work It has the original tires on it, so it would need tires as well. Despite the things the bike needs, it is extremely rare to find a rare 40 year old bike from the original owner. Most of these bikes were run hard and put away wet, but this one was hardly used at all! The chrome overall is shiny but is pitted and there are areas of surface rust It has the original exhaust which has surface rust and pitting in the chrome at the mufflers, but there are no rust holes or dents or scrapes anywhere, so it is a solid set of original pipes. Both front and rear fenders have good chrome aside from some pitting, they are still nice and shiny The seat is very nice and in near mint condition. Overall, the bike is clean, but has typical tarnishing on the engine covers and cases, nothing major, and there are the typical tarnishing and rust spots & rusty nuts and bolts here and there which is easily fixed by polishing them or replacing them. It wouldn't take much to do a cosmetic restoration on this bike to make look new again. The bike has the original California title and the original blue plate which is very cool for you California bidders. I am listing this as a NO RESERVE auction Please visit my site at digitalpizza dot com and check out my classic bike restorations and keep in mind that I will restore this bike to award winning perfection if you so choose. Or you can call me (Pete) if you have any questions at 415-272-8133 I am sorry, but I will not do a "buy it now" unless it is listed as such. Check out my other items! Shipping: Buyer is responsible to arrange shipping, however I can suggest a couple of different shippers that I have used and am very happy with their service. Figure its going to cost 500.00 - 675.00 to ship it within the US. It could run 1000.00 - 1500.00 to ship overseas.
