Vehicle Detail

First things first, this is a great, fun to drive car that I've enjoyed the heck out of and regrettably must sell due to a pending move. If I could, I would keep this car and keep enjoying the heck out of it! It is not in stock condition, but it's close - SCCA C-Stock legal. The only changes from the factory are the Racing Beat tubular front sway bar and Koni adjustable sport shocks. I won the South Carolina Region SCCA Championship for C-Stock in 2007 with this car. It's GREAT to drive! The suspension was fully refreshed in 2011 - I changed every bushing and ball joint, removed the rust of the control arms and painted them, and installed the current shocks at that time. Condition:This is a pretty great looking car from 15 feet or so, but it's no show queen. The paint on the hood is scratched and the clear-coat is delaminating. There are some scratches from something (probably an SUV door) on the passenger's door in front of the mirror. The front dam has some gouges down to the plastic. Someone backed in to the front plate, scratching the bumper behind it. The top has a cut which is patched watertight. The shifter knob spins. It's got a few other dents and dings. This car is meant to be driven and enjoyed, not looked at. The CD player doesn't work (does any 1999 Miata's?) but the radio does. That said, I've tried to keep it looking OK while staying all original - I could have cheaply repainted it or replaced the blue top with a cheap black one, but I was not going to detract from the originality of this one. The stock wheels on it have Cooper Zeon 2XS tires with OK tread. Features:In addition to the car as it's set up, you get:1 spare rear Koni shock1 spare set of standard 1999 miata wheels mounted with Kumho V710 autocross tires (probably heat cycled near the limit, but have decent rubber still)1 spare set of steel wheels mounted with Michelin X-ice tires with good tread (AWESOME in the snow. This car is a beast. I drove it across country in blizzard conditions in 5 days in late 2010 with no trouble!)1 hidden hitch (the rear frame is drilled for it but it's not installed)A few random spare parts (brake pads, etc)I'll even throw in the lucky trunk monkey. History:As far as I know I'm the second actual owner. I bought it from a Florida dealer in 2007 who I believe purchased it from auction after a vehicle trade. It had about 45000 miles when I bought it. Since then, I've done regular oil changes with full synthetic, two plug/wire changeouts (latest in July 2012), changed the coil packs and the catalytic converter (with an OEM replacement in Jan 2009), changed the clutch slave and master cylinders (June 2011), had the timing belt changed (Feb 2011), and changed the brake rotors and pads (July 2010), as well as the suspension refresh above. Shipping and Payment:All transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. The spares will fit in the vehicle with the exception of the spare wheels - you'll need alternate means to transport those. Vehicle must be picked up in the month of January. $500 deposit due at time of auction closing.
