Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1953 Ford F-100 Shortbed Pickup Truck. It has an inline 6 cylinder engine that turns by hand. The truck is complete except for the seat, windows, a headlight trim ring, tail lights, and some other minor items. It does have the original heater inside the truck. The engine in the truck has a remanufactured tag on it so I am not sure if it is the original engine or not. The body of this truck is in great condition. There is no rust through on the cab corners or the bottoms of the doors. There is some rust through in the front part of the bed and the rear stake pockets. The stepboards also have a little rust through, but are still ok to stand on. The cab mounts are really good. The only one that has any tyoe of rust through at all in the front one of the drivers side, and it is minimal. The rust through in this area is mainly on the floor next to the cab mount. The mount itself looks good. This is very surprising since these trucks tend to have issues with rust through on the cab mounts, corners, and lower doors. There are dents and dings here and there. The front passenger side fender and rear stake pockets are not repairable and will need to be replaced. The area between the front passenger fender and passenger door is dented. You may be able to fix it or if needed replacement panels are made for this specific area. This truck is very solild with very little rust through. It still has original paint on the firewall and other portions of the truck. This truck has great patina and is by no means a rust bucket. These trucks are hard to find especially in this condition and they are getting very popular especially at the auctions. I do not have a title for this vehicle. It spent all of its life on a farm in Western Kansas. There is no implied or stated warranty on this vehicle and it is sold AS IS with a bill of sale only. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. If you would like to look at the truck prior to bidding, please let me know ASAP. I can also send additional photos if needed. (I will not answer what my reserve is, but it is reasonable) If you have less than 10 feedback, please contact me prior to bidding. $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction through Paypal and the remainder of the balance is due within 7 days in cash. I can store the truck for a little while over the 7 days if the full payment is made and arrangements are made with me prior to the end of the auction. Shipping and removal of the truck will be the responsibility of the buyer, but I will work with you on this if you live outside of the area. The truck is located in Lee's Summit, MO which is a suburb of Kansas City. Photo number 4 is the rust out in the front of the bed. 6 Driver's side cab corner 8 Passenger side cab mount 9 Driver's side cab mount 11 One Rear cab mount 21 Bottom of the passenger doorOn Jan-06-13 at 14:14:41 PST, seller added the following information: I have looked at the tag number of the engine and it says, REMANUFACTURED ENGINE PISTON O.S. STD. ROD BRG. U.S. .030 MAIN BRG. U.S. .020 PRODUCTION NO. 101708 REMANUFACTURER CODE 1 On Jan-06-13 at 14:33:13 PST, seller added the following information: I have also looked at the numbers stamped on the front of the frame on the passenger side under the radiator. The stamping is pretty worn especially the first few. I am not 100% able to make out the first two numbers/ letters after the star, but here is what I can make out STAR ??OD3K-14165 STAR. In doing some research, the VIN on the frame is likely STAR F1D03K-14165 which is decoded to an F-100 "F10" with a 215 c.i.d engine "D" and made in Kansas City, MO "K".
