1970 DKW 125 DESERT SLED CLASSIC LIGHTWEIGHT IDST / MOTOCROSSER NO RESERVE! YOU BID, YOU WIN. UNRESTORED, mostly original, non-running. identical "suburst" head as the Penton 125 Six-Day of the same era. Unique "leading link" (Earles type) front suspension, ideally suited to lightweight off-road sidecar & desert racing. I purhcased this bike almost AS-IS, got it running and immediately realized it needs new crank seals. By now it will also need carb overhaul & new tires at a minimum. "What you see is what you get". These are all the photos I have of the bike at the moment; I can take more for serious bidders. Almost all the original orange paint has flaked off of the chrome tank. Perfect for a concours restoration or just get it running and go play in the dirt. Would make a really nice AHRMA vintage motocrosser, sidehack racer or cross-country bike if you choose to go that way; rub shoulders with the greats from the past!
