THE GOOD: Virtually rust free (a few tiny spots, biggest one on wheel well, see photo) 1969 Dodge Polara 2-door hardtop. 26,000 original miles! Numbers matching. Build sheet. Cruise control and air conditioning (neither hooked up). Car comes with the super-rare, Super Light. Car came with a 2 barrel single exhaust. I put on a 4 barrel, dual exhaust. Still have the original intake and carb. Lots of extra parts. $20,000 invested (labor $13,000, parts $5,000). 50 pages of receipts. Detailed spread sheet of every penny spent. Black bucket seats, almost 100% original interior, nearly flawless, two small holes in headliner. She runs, drives, and shift the way you'd expect a 26K mile car to. THE NOT-SO-GOOD (just a few small things, folks!) Car needs a repaint. What can I say, she looked beautiful for the first five years, but then began peeling. Looks like I found bad painters. Vacuum issue: if you hit the brakes say 4 or 5 times in rapid succession, as in city driving, you lose vacuum, and have to press hard. The car always stops and stops well, but it just takes more pressure. I can't seem to track the cause, but those who know more than I think it's related to the new hi-rise manifold. The tail lights and panel lights stopped working last month. Haven't tracked it down yet. The good news is that the thumb-wheel, panel dimmer worked flawlessly before the outage. Needs dome light cover (see pic), and rear view mirror swings freely, does not tighten down. There are a few small (REALLY small) leaks. Need a new wiper motor, it works but it can be tempramental. Car is sold as is as seen with no warranty or guarantee.
