Here is a nice surviving example of a 1985 BMW K100 RS. I bought this bike around 1988, rode it a few times and sold it to my brother who has cared for it ever since. I got the bike back a few months ago from him and am offering it for sale. It has a clear Florida title in my name. It has been well cared for over the years. The odometer reads 55K or so, but I know it is a replacement instrument as these Kbikes were known for defective speedo's...so my best guess is around 80K miles on the bike. The bike was originally one of the dark blue ones, but has been black for as long as it has been in the family. Whoever painted it all those years ago did a good job and the paint is still in decent shape. Some knicks, scuffs and scratches but all in all still good looking. It comes with a 4 into 1 Luftmeister header system, works performance shock, factory luggage and new gel battery. I did remove the original mirrors/turn signals as I did not like looking at blurry elbows. I put the bar end mirrors on and after market turn signals. The originals come with the bike as does the original owners manual and tool kit. I recently rode it to Barber Vintage event, about 1400 miles round trip with no issues. If you are looking for a great all around, do everything sport touring bike this is still a great choice and relatively cheap to boot.
