Vehicle Detail

This is a 1968 Camaro that I purchased a year and half ago for a project for my son and I. We have to many things going on and nothing has been done for the last 5 months on it and its time for it to go. It is a 327 small block car with the original numbers matching engine. It is an automatic none-ac car. It ran good and was drivable when we purchased it. Once purchased we have need quarter panels and rear end panel put in as the old ones has rust. The front fenders and drivers door also had rust and we purchased replacements that will go with the care. The frame is rust free. The hood was rust free but we purchased a hugger hood as we were going to badge the car as an SS. We have redone the suspension with many new parts, including shocks (air in back). We have also redone the brakes on all four corners. The car is a four wheel drum car and we have added a new power brake booster. We have cleaned and coated the interior and put insulation on the floors, rear seat area and head-liner area. We have purchased a full interior kit for the car as well as new seat foam for the front bucket seats. The Seat frames and springs are in great shape. A new four gage cluster has been added. The trunk has been cleaned and OEM trunk liner sprayed in. The gas tank has been replaced with a new one as has the sending unit. The engine has been updated to include new water pump, fuel pump, alternator, coil, aluminum radiator (and new radiator support), aluminum headers, hoses, battery and more. The car is just about ready for paint. The following is a non-complete list of new parts we have purchased for the car: fuel tankfuel sending unitSS fuel capradiator supportaluminum radiatorwater pumpfuel pumpalternatorcoilpower brake boosteraluminum headerssuspension partsbrake partshosesbatteryquater panelsfendershugger hooddrivers doorinterior kit head liner carpet door panels seat covers front seat foam glove box, hinges and lockdoor locksdoor handleswindow cranksgaugeswiper fluid jug and partswiper armswiper switchSS badgingdome lighttrunk weather strippingfour rally wheels, chrome rings and capsplugs and plug wiresrear spoilerfront bumperAnd more....... We have most of the original parts if the purchaser wants them. This is a great project to complete for someone. It will require little work to be a really nice Camaro. Thank you for looking and let me know what questions you have. I have the car listed locally also so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks. On Dec-29-12 at 09:17:18 PST, seller added the following information: I have added some additional photos. Also the car has as high performance Edelbrock intake and carb. Additionally I have just about every Camaro restoration manual, Body by Fisher, Assembly manual that anyone would need to rebuild a Camaro. I will throw those in with the car.
