Vehicle Detail

UPDATE: The orange paint is flaking off of the car. That's what you're seeing in the first pic. The paint job that was on the car when I bought it was cheap. The color underneath is a very deep bluish color, not black. Also, I should have noted that the car was garage kept since I got it, I pulled it out to take pics and whatnot. The doors sag, but the latches and handles and whatnot work properly. This car is restorable, but it would also be an excellent parts vehicle considering all of the new stuff I put on it. You can text me on my tablet at 517.358.3573 if you need to. I can be available to show you the car with a little bit of lead time. Thanks and happy bidding! This car was purchased for my wife in the Fall of 2008 as a project that I would restore for her. We bought the car for $1700 and I drove it about 70 miles home. It didn't run well, as it had sat for a long time and was in desperate need of some love. I bought over $1000 worth of parts for the car, including a Weber carb, new intake, electronic fuel delivery system, etc. etc. I attempted to put the car back together and didn't get everything back together right and it hasn't seen the road since that first day of ownership. All parts go with the car including what I have left of the takeoff parts (I do have the original single barrel carb). The engine has good compression and seemed to run strong. The transmission shifted smoothly. The body is in poor condition, with rust under both doors. The underbody is in worse shape, as the floor pans are rusted almost all the way through. The original interior is in excellent condition for the year. We were fine letting the car sit in our garage, but on Nov 1st we lost our house in a fire and are now in a position wherein the City of Jackson will own the home and lot and we have get everything cleared out of there. Because we're currently homeless, so to speak, we don't have much need for this project at this point in time. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it's sold. It is available for inspection by appointment. Shipping can be arranged on a flat bed trailer for a fee.
