This is the biggest SUV ever made. A perfect Christmas gift that has all the bells and whistles with the Powerstroke 6.0l Diesel motor and 4x4. This is an Eddie Bauer edition that includes power everything(windows, locks, seats), front and rear AC, Premium sound system with rear flip down DVD entertainment system(still have factory DVD remote) and 6 disk CD player, 2nd row captain chairs, two-tone leather seats, towing package, complete steering wheel controls for Radio, AC and Cruise, adjustable foot pedal control, backup sensors, complete set of Husky Floormants, etc... It has approx. 178,xxx miles on it with good tread left on the tires and it's in great shape. This 6.0l(the diesel engine) has been bullet proofed. The head gasket has been replaced and ARP studs were installed over the factory stock head bolts (Google "6.0l head gasket failure" if you don't know what I am talking about). The EGR cooler, engine oil cooler, alternator, new AC Compressor and manifold lines, and a complete coolant system flush has been performed within the last 9,000 miles, this is over $7,000 worth of repairs performed by local Ford dealer. The Turbo was also recently replaced with a brand new one ($1,700). This Excursion also has the Dr. Performance Predator module installed which allows for extra performance and fuel economy with 3 settings: Off, Tow Mode and Performance Mode. On a recent trip it averaged over 17 mpg and with a 44 gallon tank allows you to go over 700 miles on one tank fillup. Other recent work or installed parts is two red-top Optimax Batteries, 4 wheel alignment (vehicle has Michelin LTX tires with well over half their life left in tread), front and rear differential case fluid replacement and flush as well as ATF flush. Has manual or auto locking hubs for front axle 4wheel drive. This is a great vehicle and very rare now that Ford stopped making them. If you need lots of room and solid mpg this is your vehicle. Two things that have issues that I know about, the overhead trip computer works when it wants too and there is a hairline tear in the back of the driver's seat backing(see picture). The front bumper has some character marks but nothing that distracts from the look or is anything more than minor flesh wounds. Overall this is a great and clean vehicle for the year it is, how it performs, and the limited availability of these Excursions. We have put over 18,000 miles on it within the last year and it has handled like a champ, we had it out to California and thru the Arizona desert(115 degrees) all without any issues.
