My wife says that with 6 vehicles something must go, so I am putting my 1985 Corvette coupe up for sale. I simply don’t have time to enjoy it. It is originally a Southern California car and it has been garage kept since I obtained it 3 years ago. The vehicle is equipped with the original 5.7L L98 Tuned Port Injection V8 and 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power drivers seat, power door locks, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering column and performance handling package. The Falken tires are nearly new (less than 1000 miles). The metallic gold paint is original except for Targa top and rear fascia that I had professionally repainted shortly after I obtained the car. There are a few chips and dings, but not as many as would be expected in a 27 year old car, the worst of which is seen on the edge of the driver side headlight well as can be seen in the photo. The car was in decent shape when I bought it on e-bay about 3 years ago, but I have made some significant improvements since then including the installation of an all aluminum radiator, heater core, and new fuel pump. I have completely redone the interior with sound deadening and heat reflecting underlay, carpeting all around, new door panels, seat covers, replaced the passenger “crash pad” with a dash kit, some of the weather stripping around the door windows and replaced the aftermarket AM/FM stereo system with one that fits the dash properly and has a CD player and MP3 capability. I also recently replaced the power antenna and installed a new battery (8/13/12). The car has about 111K miles runs and shifts great, is great fun to drive and gets surprisingly good gas mileage (22-25 mpg) out on the highway. The digital dash operates perfectly. I also have a new ecm and a Hypertech Themomaster Power Chip that I haven’t gotten around to installing along with a number of miscellaneous small parts, all of which comes with the vehicle. The reserve and Buy It Now Price on this vehicle is almost half of what I have invested. This vehicle is sold as is, where is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The only photo I had with the Targa top removed was taken a couple of years ago with one of our former foreign exchange students sitting at the wheel. All the other photos were taken earlier this fall. I am the third owner of this vehicle. The first owner had the car for 23 years, the second owner for less than a year and I've had it for the past 3 years.
