1979 Jeep CJ-5 4X4 V8 This is an immaculate looking, quality Jeep CJ-5 professionally restored to original specifications including original blue color. Original specification enhanced with aftermarket 32” wheels, aftermarket bumpers, Grant steering wheel and Kenwood stereo system. Everything works on this Jeep: All lights work (all turn signals, headlamps, high beams, reverse lights, hazard lights) All gauges work and read reliably (fuel level gauge, engine temperature, voltage, engine oil pressure) Gauges are original and were rebuilt at significant cost during the restoration. Speedometer and odometer both work and read reliably. Brakes and emergency parking brake work as they should. 4x4 High and Low gears engage and work as they should. Horn and windshield wipers works as they should. The bodywork and paint are beautiful and virtually flawless with no rust. The frame, body and floor pans are all solid. Reliable long distance driver. Cruises comfortably at 65 miles per hour on the highway. Odometer reads 25,600 miles -- It was reset to zero when the engine was professionally overhauled in 2008 with new K&N air filter, Edelbrock intake, carburetor and valve covers. New Kenwood KDC-X895 Stereo system (comes with remote control) professionally installed November 2012. This stereo has USB and iPod ports and Bluetooth. Well maintained vehicle, always stored in garage, with all fluids changed regularly. Front and rear lap belts installed. Recent maintenance includes new serpentine belts, spark plugs, wires and distributor replaced in November 2012. Reluctant but necessary sale.
