Vehicle Detail
Holiday Hardtop in Rose Mist & J2 tri-power What is offered to the next lucky owner is a wonderful looking and driving Nighty Eight hardtop J2 tri-power, power windows, power seat, power breaks and steering, wonderbar radio dual exhaust This is an 20 year old frame off complete restoration that is in great shape with only the paint showing age. Was inspected on the hoist and found to bee virtually rust free. There are a few small pimples in r front lower fender that wont show in the picture. At time of restoration the engine was rebuilt, transmission, complete interior, body, paint and all chrome. The chrome is great shape ! The paint is showing age and has defects were the factory lead seems are. Still looks great from 5 feet. The interior is very nice with the seats in correct colors, patterns and leather were it was originally. The headliner has a few stains and one small hole above the driver head. The last owner had it in his small collection and used it very sparingly for about 10 years. I got the car in a package deal and repair modern and vintage cars, I specialize in Buick's and classic cars. I have sold several cars this year and all buyers were happy with them. A complete inspection was performed, then repairs and service as needed, to include -Tune up and belts -New brakes -Recent radial tires -Complete proper dual exhaust system front to back -Replaced generator and voltage regulator -Electric wiper motor added (to replace slow vacuum) -Gas tank pulled and cleaned - This car starts well, with no smoking or engine clatter. Careful when you press the gas as it will lay rubber. The transmission shifts firm and feel good, Power steering and power brakes also work good. The heater and defroster is working. All lights and horn work well. The turn signals work, but the cancel will need looked at. This car had the J2 tri power added by the last owner. Then the updated progressive mechanical linkages added for reliability. The original vacuum pots are in the trunk. The car has two sets of hub caps. Both in excellent shape, but I need a few more of the proper clips to hold the deluxe flipper caps on. Now the deluxe ones are on the left side and standard on the right side. The wonderbar radio stopped working recently and has not been looked at. The clock has not worked for a while. The power windows operate smooth as we serviced all the window regulators. The power seat works front to back , but is iffy on the tilt- will need looked at. The car has the original 4 barrel intake , carburetor and air cleaner all in good working order and the owners manual and shop manuals. Overall this is a solid car and great investment. It is ready to enjoy now and the reserve is was less than NADA book of $34,540 in average condition. This car is way above average. Road test and inspection encouraged.- If its late in the auction call me as I am not always by the computer. Call early as the car may be sold before the auctions ends as it is advertized locally. Calls are welcomed. Steve Fisher 206-755-3420
