You are bidding on a 1984 Volkswagon diesel rabbit. The 4 door hatch back has been well cared for though out its years. This car has been owned by me for the last 14 year and I believe it was a one owner when I bought it. This car has never been wrecked beyond minor bumper damage, and that happened once about 10 years ago. The car looks old with faded, crack silver paint and pinpoints of rust. No rust of the cancerous nature. The rear driver side dogleg is rusted as well as the two front doors. See pictures. The car stopped running about a year ago when a fuel line pluged. I have fixed that but I am unable to get it started again. It cranks well with the sound of a good starter turning over a good engine. I used this car as a construction vehicle. I had custom rear spring made that are 2 and a half time stiffer than stock springs so I could hull up to 1500 lb of tools and material in and on top of my car integrated roof racks. The original spring come with the car with other working parts from my 2 previous rabbits. The body is still good enough that it can be fixed up for display, but currently a lot of cosmeticsMechanical The clutch slips some and needs to be replaced I have the clutch with the car. THE FOLLOWING PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED------ CYLINDER HEAD, ALTERNATOR, RADIATOR. All other moving parts have been replaced a least 1 time. The windshield is cracked. Radiator grill covers are damaged and both taillight assemble have cracks in them. The headliner has been replaced with low pile carpet. One of the glove box door hinges is broken ofF The heater core is disconnected and there is no heat. The passenger side mirror is dangling. Some one took a nap on the roof and it is significantly dented in. Whats good the engine is good shape, for use in other ways, but may need a new fuel pump I belieive. The body is solid enough to be fixed up as a classic. suspension is new. Tires in good shape and of same year and make with 2/3+ tread. This car is best for parts or fixing up for show with litle driving expectations. See pics
