Heater works good as well. Great car for the money. Car is on a non op so there are no back fee's and title in hand with proof of Non Op. The only downsid if you look at it that way is that the car is a 62 body sitting on a 65 pan. Been this way for a long long time. Whenever the previous owner did this they took it to DMV to be registered and told them what they didand anytime you " rebodie " a car they give it a salvage title. Evidence of this being the cause of a salvage title is the new CA issued vin in the driver's door jam and so is the fact that the car is registered as a 62 with a 65 vin # which is the way they do them here. Most times people don't tell dmv when this is done and just keep the car titled as whatever the chassis is. For example its common to switch pans such as an oval window bug onto a IRS pan froma 69 and newer bug. Anyhow most VW people understand this as its comon practice so just want to make it clear for those who don't and think that it has the salvage title for other reasons.
