Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1 owner 1991 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA WS6. This car was found in a garage where is was sitting for over 10 years. The owner used the car as his everyday driver until he had a stroke and parked the car. I came across this car through a few friends and contacted the owner until he agreed to sell it. The condition of the car was great, it didn't run and the paint was faded, The car was complete and had no dents or dings. The interior was dusty and dirty. Still had the old school sheep skin seat covers on the car. The original leather seats are worn, but has no tears, the top of the rear seat is coming apart due to age. Since I got the car I stripped the trim and glass from the car and started working on the body. The car was completely repainted in the factory metallic green using dupont products. 4 coats of clear was added then color sanded and buffed to a glass type finish. The interior was cleaned and washed and most weather stripping replaced. The leather inserts in the door panels were dried and coming apart, I replaced them with a nice suede insert. (I was unable to locate the perforated leather material.) The headliner and sunvisors are all original and are in perfect condition. As I said, the car was not running. The fuel system was completely gone from the 10 years it was sitting. I replaced the fuel tank, sending unit assy, fuel pump, fuel filter, and all injectors with all new parts, nothing used or reman. The fuel pump is a OE Delfi unit, the tank and sending unit are Dorman, the filter, sock, and hoses are all Delco units, and the injectors are 22lbs Bosch III performance replacement injectors. (These out flow and perform the junky factory units.) The engine got a full fluid service. as did the transmission and differential. The engine also received a full tune up consisting of plugs, wires, cap and rotor. The CTS and the fan switch were replaced. (known problem in these cars, cheap insurance) The car now runs hard and drives great, passed CA emissions with ease. I have the original window sticker that was in the car when first purchased. It will be included in the sale. The car has the WS6 performance package and the 5.7 TPI engine. This car is a great driver for someone who loved the 3rd gen Trans Am. The paint and body is perfect with no blemished at all. The total cost to where the car is in the 8K dollar range. The car is worth way more then that. It's hard to find one as clean as this one that runs and drives as it should. I have registration paperwork and full documents from service to insurance from when the car was first purchased. I have a low reserve on the car, but hoping it sells to someone that has a passion for these types of cars that will take care of it and keep it on the road. This is a great running and driving vehicle. Buy it now and drive it home.
