Vehicle Detail
This is a 1980 Mercedes Benz 300 Diesel. This car was bought from a dealer in California in 09 and garaged in Virginia since. The body is near flawless. There are a few minor paint chips and some imperfections. It has the upgrades Mercedes sports grille. There are no major dents. The paint, body, and chassis are all in good condition. It has been converted to run on diesel or vegetable oil! -Good coat of paint -Beautiful trim/rubber/chrome -Clear lenses and lights -Good wheels and tires This car is built like a German tank and is solid as a rock. Mechanically the car has been well cared for. The engine starts right up and sounds very healthy. The car does not leak, smoke, overheat or make any unusual noises. The transmission shifts smoothly through the gears. The brakes, steering and suspension are in good condition. All mechanical, electrical and climate control systems operate correctly. The air conditioning needs to be serviced, the compressor turns. Windows go up and down with ease as does the sunroof. All gages, lights (interior and exterior) work just as they should. The interior is in good shape. There are no significant wear marks, abuse, stains, or strange odors. The seats are firm and comfortable. The carpeting, door panels/plastic pockets (still in-tact), console and headliner are in excellent shape. The dash has some hairline cracks. The wood is in fair condition. It is hard to believe this car has 176,000 miles, because it certainly does not look like it. Regardless, these cars are known to exceed 1,000,000 miles without a single engine rebuild. This car is no exception and should last a lifetime if well cared for. The new owner will be pleased with how nice this car is. If you have any questions contact Evan at 540-379-6753, or email mab1555@verizon.net. The car is also available for sale locally and is subject to removal from the auction at any time should it be sold. Shipping can be arranged by the winning bidder.
