Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a vintage 1979 Honda CB125S with very few miles. I must stress that this will be sold "as is," and that is not because there are any known problems, but simply because I am not a motorcycle-engine guru or motorcycle-rider enough to give it any kind of diagnosis. I will also stress that this is for local pickup only, as I don't want to deal with shipping an entire motorcycle. I will at least help push it up a ramp if needed. Condition: Pros: Starts up without too many attempts, especially when started up daily. I don't ride motorcycles but the previous owner rode it around the neighborhood the day he dropped it off, so I assume it is in pretty good condition based off of that fact and the low mileage. Once again, I know nothing about motorcycle engines so it could be a perfect engine or have tons of problems, I just don't know. Please don't bid if you have any worries: assume it is a fixer-upper that you may get lucky with. No refunds. The previous owner claimed it could do a maximum speed of 55mph (which is typical for this model), and get a fuel efficiency of up to 70 miles per gallon. The previous own also said that the carb was rebuilt recently, but I cannot verify. Cons: Turn signals are missing, but the wiring and switches appear to be intact. Tachometer is missing completely, and the shell/glass around the speedometer is missing, but the speedometer is intact. The choke felt a little loose but I just propped it a little with the fuel line while the engine heated up. History: A guy owed me money and paid me with a motorcycle. I've never rode it, but I did start it up once a day for several days because the previous owner told me it would keep it in good shape to just start it up. I had intended on learning to ride with this, since it's light-weight, and I even got it registered, but now I'd rather have cash. Shipping and payment: Either pay with cash during pickup, or check. If paying with check, you must wait for me to verify that the check does not bounce before picking up the motorcycle. I will hand you a bill-of-sale with the correct information and the keys, and then roll it out of the garage for you. I don't have an official title like with a car, but I guess once a vehicle gets that old then all you need is the bill-of-sale, because that is what the tag office accepted.
