1999 BMW 323i (Made in Germany): Florida car, clean title, no structural or mechanical issues. Engine runs and starts like it's just been driven off the showroom! Smooth, clean acceleration, clean tailpipe exhaust, engine has no oil leaks, transmission shift smooth and has no leaks. Power steering is responsive (with a firm handling like all BMWs). Braking is sharp thanks to a new set of grooved rotors and pads changed in 2011 (since then the car has only done 6000 miles). I bought this car in October 2010 to attend school in northern FL, then when I moved to South FL it has hardly been used and mostly spent the time parked in a garage. During the time I've owned it I did some repairs which were normal for the age of the car and saves the new owner from having to worry about these for another 30-50k miles: * Replaced two rear wheel hubs with original German OEM parts * Replaced two front stabilizer bushings * Changed fuel filter (OEM) * Changed 3 of the 6 coil packs which were showing signs or age (all were original when I changed them at 120k miles) * Replaced stock air filter box with a "cone" type cold air intake and filter (washable) * Two new tires in the rear (2011) * New set of spark plugs about 6k miles ago * Serviced the fuel throttle body and VANOS (two popular culprits on these cars which take a little time to service but do wonder for performance) * Replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor * Replaced two minor internal electricals to restore them to original working condition: the room light unit was completely replaced and the rear passenger side window motor was replaced. * Replaced full set of brake, turn signal and license plate bulbs * Replaced front turn signal lamps with a clear type unit (see photo) * Changed the serpentine belt, two belt tensioners July 2012 I've also kept the car in good clean condition, and a very clean engine! ALL electricals, power accessories (seats, mirrors, sun roof, stereo, CD changer, locks, windows, trunk opener) all work, as well as all internal and external lights and dashboard lights. There is one small issue with the sunroof worth mentioning (and I understand it's common on this model): when the sunroof is opened and reaches full-open position, the sunroof button must be pressed otherwise it returns to closed position. To close the sunroof the button has to be depressed to start the opening, then pressed before it's completely opened, otherwise it will reverse and close. When closing, the button is depressed then again two presses before it reaches the closed position to bring it in to a close. The problem seems to be a sensor in the sunroof assembly from my online research, but I never got around to dabbling in it as I hardly use the sunroof ever! Interior notes: Seats are still firm and in average condition. The driver's side leather is a bit worn, has some small cracks. The passenger's is in much better shape, as are the seat backs and the rear seats. All door panels and trims are excellent and dashboard is pristine, absolutely no cracks! Ceiling and fabric are excellent and the carpets are all intact and fairly good shape. The original floor mats are included. Trunk compartment: Almost like new! Gray carpeting is fresh, clean, no soils. Paint: The exterior is in generally great shape, considering the car came with a clearcoat and that has withstood the FL sunshine. The hood is a bit faded and dull, likely as a result of years of FL sun combined with the engine's heat. It's visible in the photos, although this is probably the only parts of the car that's like this. All moldings, door strips and skirting intact, fog lamps work! The driver's side headlight lens is a bit faded, although the passenger's side is like new (I suspect it was changed by a former owner). The tailights look new, NO micro-cracks or chips. Wheels: Front tires are set to give another 30-40k miles, with threads that looks like new and have never been changed since I bought car in 2010. Rear tires will give about 10k miles, which is expected as this is a rear-wheel drive and the back tires are of a lower life rating than the front. The original BMW alloy wheels are in excellent condition, with few nicks and curb touches.
