Vehicle Detail

This is the fifth North American M5 that was built. The car was originally purchased in March of 1987 and I purchased the car from the original owner in August of 2005 with 177,000 miles. The engine was rebuilt at 188,000 miles, completed 2/07, by Vintage Sports and Racing in Bow, NH. All VIN tags match except for the transmission which was replaced, but I still have the original. The self leveling suspension has been removed. I have manay receipts and extra parts. The clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced as the original has failed but otherwise the car runs fine. Here is a list of major things I have done with the car since pruchase:Replaced catalytic converter and oxygen sensor Replaced L/F wheel hub assembly New clutch, flywheel, selector joint, rear bearing, transmission mounts and seals Installed stainless steel brake linesReplaced rear pads and rotors Installed Turner Motor Sports chip Rebuilt engine, w/ new pistons, timing chain components, oil pump, shims, chain, valve guides, springs, seals, radiator, hoses, water pump starter, ICV, main and rod bearings, all seals and gaskets, and injectors servicedReplaced heater valve Installed used transmission (40,000miles)Replaced rear pitman arms Replaced front steering and suspension components except shocks and springs Rebuilt front calipers and replaced front pads and rotorsReplaced R/F wheel hub assembly On Nov-26-12 at 20:15:27 PST, seller added the following information: This is the fifth North American M5 that was built.
