Selling my lovely 1984 Defender 110 V8, this was a barn find a few years ago, found in a farmers shed that he didn’t use anymore. Was in storage for 6 years before it was put back on the road in 2009 & only has 3 Previous owners!! It has only covered 69,600 miles backed up with previous yearly service inspections dating back to 1999. This is a matching chassis truck and is in very good condition, chassis, bodywork, bulkhead and floors are all in great shape. This Defender has been very well looked after by both by me, a Land Rover enthusiast and the previous owners. Please look through the pictures and you can see how good this example is. Good Bits v 3 Previous Owners v 69,600 miles from new, that is only 2800 miles a year! v New Exhaust + all gaskets changed this year v Clean Florida title in my name v New engine oil & oil filter v SU Carbs tuned and checked runs great v Clutch fluid flushed & changed v Brake fluid flushed and checked v All wheels balanced and 4 wheel alignment done March 2012 v Prop shaft joints re-greased v Radiator flushed and refilled with correct anti freeze v Recent wheel upgrade stamped with date May 2008, all tyres are Michelin 7.50 R16 4x4 v All door bottoms have solid steel work v Immaculate interior, seats have no tears or sagging v Has side steps & bull bar fitted this year v Working rear wash wipe, interior light and all switches/buttons v Updated side arches to 2008 rubber type Though selling as is, with no warranty expressed or implied, there are no known issues with this Defender, it has a solid chassis with no holes or rust problems. This is also the same on the bulkhead and on the door bottoms too, if these are good on a Defender the rest must also be good. All the doors lock properly, don’t drop or sag when opened and I have 2 sets of keys for this truck too. Starts, runs and stops just like it should do, all the gears including high low work spot on. I never did too much mileage in this as it was too good for everyday driving. This is a great looking truck that I know will make the new owner very happy. Gets lots of looks and comments every time I take it out. I have some spares for this truck which will come with the sale these include; a Haynes manual a clutch, spare wheel with new tyre, Land Rover magazines, new oil/fuel filters etc, basically anything I find. I am a huge fan of Land Rovers especially the older ones, I will be sorry to see this one go but I am looking into buying a house in Florida and spend more time here, so I need to get my car collection down to a more manageable number, already have 4 cars in the US and I am only here 5 months a year J. I had the truck looked over by a local Land Rover specialist here in Ft Lauderdale and he was impressed with how solid it looked & how original everything was & he has been in the business for 22+ years, if he thinks it is nice then it must be. Now please guys, I will listen to sensible offers but I won’t sell it for nothing, there is not many as original as this on sale in the US, or more importantly as solid as this!
