1998 BMW R1100 GSBeautiful, exceptionally clean and well maintained GS with very low off road hours (limited to publicly maintained dirt roads in Vermont). Pending knee surgery forces sale. She handles extremely well on the highway with or without a full load. She is also very comfortable in local traffic, as well as on dirt mountain roads of Vermont. There are some very small nics commensurate with age and mileage, but I would give it an 8.5 out of 10 in terms of it's appearance. I have removed the evaporative emissions system on the advice of a BMW mechanic. The system had actually caused a very small indentation in the tank on the left side right above the "GS" symbol with the prior owner. I didn't want to risk any more incidents, so I removed it without any effect on performance. In fact, it lightened the bike's weight somewhat. The small indentation is not noticeable and is virtually indistinguishable, as it blends in with the shape of the tank.This motorcycle is being offered for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early, if sold outside of EBAY. I am still riding the bike, at least until my surgery. So, the mileage may change slightly. No warranty is implied nor expressed and vehicle is being offered in AS-IS condition.
