1999 Volkswagen Beetle. This was a daily driver until recently, the engine started misfiring intermittently and then would run perfect for a while. Took to the shop and had plugs changed and throttle body cleaned but didn't help much. In the meantime the transmission began acting up. It goes into reverse fine, and into drive but is stuck in maybe second gear, it does not shift properly. So, the check engine light is on due to the misfire and will need work to pass smog. On the plus side, the timing belt and water pump were recently replaced and the heater and a/c work good. There are some minor bumps and bruises shown in the pictures. Interior is ok but starting to show its age. If you are local this can be driven home but I would not recommend going over about 40 mph due to the shifting problem. Not sure what all this will take to fix, we are simply done putting money into it. Pink slip in hand, registration good through April 2013
