Strong and powerful and runs really good! The truck has stayed in Los Angeles (West San Fernando Valley) and Ventura area of Southern California. My brother was the original owner. He drove it a few years then I bought it from him. A few years ago I "gifted" on record with the DMV the truck to my best friend, but I remained as the sole driver. The title is clear/clean in her name, she has signed off on it, and it is in my possession to turn over to the buyer of this auction. I have maintained the vehicle and my best friend really had nothing to do with the truck other than having her name on record with DMV as the owner. The truck has not been abused. There is no rust. I did easy driving to and from work. When I am on the freeway, I always set the cruise-control to around 68 MPH. I never drove the truck over 70 MPH. Always driving easy on the steering and the brakes. I love this truck and have another vehicle to drive, so I am down-sizing in order to save expenses. Hopefully the new owner will appreciate that I have taken very good care of the vehicle. The truck has always been very reliable and dependable and still runs great! It's a really good truck for anyone. I think the truck would be great for a gardener, contractor, shop vehicle, or construction worker doing local area driving. RECOMMENDATIONS FROM MY AUTO MECHANIC ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2012: 1) Needs radiator repair; 2) Power steering pump, pressure hose and box leaking; 3) Air filter dirty, needs to be replaced; 4) Water pump leaking, needs to be replaced; 5) Oil filter housing O-ring leaking, will need to be replaced next oil change; 6) Oil leaking from rear or engine, needs further diagnostic. 7) Windshield cracked, needs to be replaced. OTHER STUFF: 1) The interior driver side door handle broke off one day. I guess it simply broke due to years of use. Anyway, in order to get out of the cab, I have just been rolling down the window and opening the door with the exterior door handle. I sort of have gotten use to it. No big deal to me but it may bother you. I have the handle piece that broke off if Buyer wants it. 2) The windshield has 3 cracks in it. One is vertical in front of the driver side, one is vertical in front of the passenger side, and the other one is in the bottom right hand corner. I have driven years with these cracks and they don't leak water when it rains. I never bother replacing the windshield since it wasn't leaking water. 3) The tailgate latch/handle works, but needs a little TLC. I am able to open it as it is, but there is a little trick to it. I can show the Buyer how I open the tailgate. It just takes a little effort. No big deal to me. I like it as is because no one else can open the tailgate unless they know the trick to it. The latch/handle not being fixed sort of acts as a theft deterrent. Otherwise, if you don't like the little bit of fuss, the latch/handle needs to be fixed. 4) There is a tear/rip on the driver's left side of the bench seat. You can see it in one of the attached photos. No big deal to me but it may bother you. 5) The truck has never been in an accident. The body is nice and straight. There is however the normal wear for a vehicle of this age and little dings in the body you get from people opening their car doors into yours. The tailgate has some minor dings which are no big deal. Normal scratches in the 8' long cargo bed from use (not bad at all) and no dents, maybe some little dings. But there is a small dent in the hood from some unknown driver backing in to me while the truck was parked (most likely a delivery vehicle like UPS or FedEx). And around that same area are 3 tiny smaller dents/dings that may have been done from the same thing like someone backing into to the truck hood while it was parked. The only dent I did myself is on the rear right side of the bumper when I backed into a lamp post one night in a parking lot. The white paint is still in good shape and I think it would really pop if it was buffed or waxed. Normal minor paint chips here and there all around the body. 6) There is a minor crack in the dashboard on the driver's side that is about 2" long. No big deal to me but it may bother you. 7) The air conditioner and heater work good. However, just about 2 months ago, when I went to turn on either on, once in a while, there is a noise sound. Like a humming or rattling sound. The sound is intermittent and does not always happen. And like I mentioned, even when I hear the noise, the air conditioner or heater still continue to work, so I never bothered fixing it. 8) It leaks radiator fluids but does not over-heat. I have been driving the truck for a long time without doing the recommended repairs from my auto mechanic (mainly due to lack of money) and have not experienced any issues from the leaks. The engine temperature gauge needle has always stayed in the middle where it is suppose to be. I have never seen the engine temperature gauge needle in the red zone or even approach anywhere near it. 9) It leaks a little engine oil and a little power steering oil. I have been driving the truck for a long time without doing the recommended repairs from my auto mechanic (mainly due to lack of money) and have not experienced any issues from the leaks. FINAL NOTES: The truck has always run really good. It's a great truck and I've kept it in good condition. As mentioned, there is no rust. Recently I put in a brand new Interstate battery MT-78 (cost $137.23) and a brand new (not rebuilt) alternator 105 amp (cost $280.91). When the mechanic was putting in the new alternator, he somehow broke the bracket on the oil dip-stick hosing that bolts to the engine block. So I have it zip-tied right now so it's not bouncing all over the place. Although it does not seem to be leaking more oil than normal (I have been checking) from that area, I suggest getting it fixed. Last year on the truck, my auto mechanic put in new front brake pads and machine 2 rotors, lubricated all slide and pivot points. Also, he flushed entire brake system including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders until clean. About 2,000 miles ago, I had an oil/filter change. I like to do this at least a couple times a year. That same day, I purchased for the truck 4 new but used retread tires ( DOT # is 1306, so the tires are 6 years old). All 4 matching tires are UNIROYAL LAREDO HD/H HEAVY DUTY, LT225/75R16, 110/107S M+S, Radial Tubeless, Load Range D. Before this set, I ran size LT245/75R16 on the truck, but couldn't find a used set in that size. I don't really notice any major difference in the driving, whether it be city or freeway. I prefer the wider size LT245 however, I think mainly because I was use to driving with them. But these LT225 seem to being doing just fine. Steering is pretty tight and steers straight. And of course there is a lot of tread (retread) on these tires. Stats on the driver door jam are as follows: GVWR, 8660/3901 - GAWR FRT, 3800/1724 - GAWR RR, 6000/2722 - LB/KG. Towing package includes a 2" ball hitch. 1995 Chevrolet C/K Pickup Owner's Manual included (it's the original one that came with the vehicle). Cargo bed is eight (8) feet long.
