Vehicle Detail
This Honda ATC70 was restored 1 year ago and has had very little use since mostly adult. Showing almost no wear this ATC70 starts easy and runs smooth with plenty of power to pull any 150 pound or less person up a very steep and rocky trail with no problem. Its a 3 speed automatic very easy to learn. All stock MSRP in 1981 = $899.oo dollars. New parts during restoration include tires with restored rims, seat cover with foam, rebuilt pull start, new chain last week, new steering head bearings and wheel bearings, new carburetor with K&N type filter jetted perfectly no hesitation and pulls hard, brake cable oiled and working well, engine has original Silver engine paint and no leaking this is a very low hour machine. Anything showing any wear was replaced or restored still very nice. Was a low hour cream puff before restoration. This model was built unchanged from 1973 to '85 and has turned into a little "cult machine". It is the most valuable of all 3 wheelers. Its also the slowest safest and lightest at 163 pounds and the smallest in stature. It drives perfect, shifts perfect, and looks almost perfect and will pull the front tire off the ground if I punch it up the driveway with me = 185 pounds on it! I had it out today and popped it in and out of my truck alone with ease then climbed a very steep boulder strewn rutted rocky mountain trail just to test it and she clawed her way to the top no problem. Her name is "Mini" as in "Mini Mouse". She's done and ready for fun! Front fender has small crack near Left mount but still very solid no increase in the size of the crack since driving it lately. This is also a very good campfire toy for adults its a quiet automatic. It starts easy and runs good perfect for the "stock ATC70 class" at the Dumont Dunes Regatta. It has a 150 pound limit and only one person limit. Notarized Bill of sale and vincheck printout showing it's not stolen. Even though in many circles, the adults seem to ride these like trikes the most, the Honda ATC70 was actually the first children's ATV ever produced. Debuting in 1973 Honda released the smallest three wheeler offered in their line up and continued it's production up until the 1985 production ban. Little known is the fact that the little trike was actually missing from Honda's lineup from 1975 until 1978. Speculation leads us to believe that sales may have been poor, or perhaps the public just wasn't ready for the little trike. Missing from action for 4 years though allowed Honda to refine the machine for it's return in 1978. Like the US90, now renamed the ATC90, the ATC70 received updated body styling, engine and drive train refinements along with it's bold new graphics. Weighing in at a measly 163.1 lbs but touting a 72cc displacement engine really gives the little ATC an incredible power to weight ratio. Small enough for children to ride, but powerful enough to carry around their parents, the 70 has been long favored as the perfect family machine, and an excellent pit bike! 70 racing actually developed a large following spawning a large support from the aftermarket. Many custom full suspended frames and other performance parts still float around auctions and sales even still today.
