Vehicle Detail

This is a very special car. Look for another one at any of the major Classic Car auctions and you'll have a hard time finding one since they are becoming so rare. Check Barrett-Jackson . . . check Mecum . . . check RM Auctions. . . check Russo and Steele. When a nice one does come along they command a huge premium . .  and rest assured not one of them is as nice as the one listed here. (Recently on Ebay, item #160884493142, which just a few years ago would have been a very average M3 sold for over $31000!) You are looking at the finest example of a 1988 BMW M3 E30 in existence - the ULTIMATE Ultimate Driving Machine! If you ever asked yourself, "Why didn't I buy a first series M3 and just hang on to it?". . . here's your chance to correct an earlier mistake. In addition to undergoing a 6 year restoration it has a very interesting pedigree. It started out its life at the factory in Regensburg, Germany and arrived with an MSRP of $34,800 before any options. From 1987-1991, 4996 of these were imported into the U. S. These were the original Euro Pocket Rockets. This is a car that has every day driving characteristics with modern heating and A/C but is becoming highly collectible. The sheer numbers don’t lie . . . 25 years ago less than 5,000 were brought over and the vast majority of them have been used up by their second and subsequent owners. There are very few nice E30 M3’s to be found. The E30 M3 is a car that enthusiasts describe as the "only real M3 ever made". The others to follow started to take on weight and size and complexity. (As was mentioned less than 5,000 of the E30 M3 came to the U. S - the next one the E36 M3 - over 70,000 were produced. Enough said!) This one can be maintained properly by a BMW mechanic today or one of 30 years ago. Those who know collectible cars describe the E30 M3 as “money in the bank”, “a sure thing”. These cars are continuing to go up in value every day. Recent pristine examples have brought well over $65,000 at some of the well known auctions. On Nov-19-12 at 08:31:57 PST, seller added the following information: I have received inquiries regarding the free Auto Check that Ebay offers on the car. It shows that in 1997 the Arizona DMV sows it as "not actual miles". This is not correct. If you look at the previous years it was actual miles and then if you look at the title that is shown here with the listing it shows actual miles. On Nov-19-12 at 22:02:27 PST, seller added the following information:
