1984 Porsche 944 - Arizona car with no rust For auction is my 1984 Porsche 944. I have owned the car about 9 years. .I lived in Arizona and drove the car on weekends mostly. I moved to IL about 4 years ago and drove the car here. I only drove it in Summer in IL, and after the first year back I stopped driving it because I inherited a BMW convertible. The 944 has been parked at parents garage for several years. I still have it titles in AZ, and still have AZ plates on it, which expired. What I know thats not good: The car drove fine when I parked it, but not does not turn over (crank) at all,, The battery is dead, and I tried to jump start, but still did not crank,, the cables from battery look corroded and will need replacing, and maybe even a starter. The front struts were also kinda bouncy when I parked it and may need replacing. Just before I stopped driving it the car was broken into, and the radio and spr\eakers were stolen. They went in thru the sunroof and put a dent on roof where they pried off the sunroof. The interior is in rough shape, front seats have tears in them,, and dash has a few cracks. Sunroof motor works, but the plastic gear is stripped, you can still manually pop it on and off.. The drivers door handle does not work,, inside handle works. The front passenger side fender has a small dent from when a truck backed into it in parking lot. GOOD about car: I bought the car from a neighbor who was a porchse mechanic, had 80,000 when I got it, and he had just rebuilt the top end due to timing belt breaking(he got it when it was traded in), I did the timing belt service again at about 115,000 miles.. I also kept up on all maintenance, brakes are good and exhaust looks like new. About a month before I parked the car I put 4 brand new tires on it, they have less then 500 miles on them. The moror does not leak oil or any fluids, and did not burn oil.. The engine and trans worked great. I have Arizone safety inspection report and emmisions as well, from just before I moved to IL, and car passsed both easily. Car is not rusted out.. and body straight,, All glass is good and windows work. This is a no reserve auction. I'm moving to small house and have lost my storage so I'm selling several cars and boats due to no room to keep them. I'm starting the auction off for what I paid for the new tires and ebay listing fee.. If you have a porsche you can buy it just for the tires,, or if you need a engine, trans, or body parts.. MAybe you have a totaled 944 with a good interior,, thats what this one needs..
