This 1984 Mercedes 300TD turbo diesel wagon was finished in " deep blue" ( MB paint code 900) with dark blue MB -tex interior . The original paint is still in very good condition with just minor rock chips or small scratches . This 28 year old paint still shines like new with a deep gloss to it . The chrome is also very nice all around . The interior is great with no rips or tears in the seats , the carpets are clean and even the wood is still in very nice condition . The original radio has been replaced with a newer Alpine stereo with a cd player . This is a original CA car and it even still has the blue license plate from 1984 . It has been always very well maintained and there are a lot of service receipts to prove it .  Just within the last 6 months the whole front suspension has been gone through . ( including both tie rod ends, center tie rod, steering dampener, upper and lower control arm bushings on both sides) The brakes and rotors were done in August of 2012. The valves were adjusted and the fluids and filters were changed . The AC was serviced last week and it blows cold . The vacuum system was gone through last year and there are no vacuum leaks . All the power door locks and power windows work the way they should . I would not hesitate to drive this car to the east coast and back on short notice . It is ready to go . The 123 series 5 cylinder diesel engine is know to be one of the most durable and reliable engines Mercedes ever built . There are many cars with this engine with over 500k miles still on the road today and driving well . If you keep taking care of this car , it should last you several 100k miles more . It was built at a time , when cars were made to last a lifetime and not only until the next years model comes a long . It would make a wonderful car to drive every day without worries . You can cruise at 85-90 miles per hour while still getting 27 miles per gallon of diesel . You could also convert it to run on Bio diesel . This way you can drive it on vegetable oil or even free waste oil from restaurants . I would love to sell this wagon to somebody local , who could actually come by and test drive it / appreciate it in person . But i would also be helpful with shipping arrangements or an airport pick up for out of state buyers. All shipping fees would have to be covered by the winning bidder , of course.  This is a very solid 28 year old classic car and whoever gets it , should not be disappointed . It will be sold " as is " and without a warranty .
