If you are looking for a 4X4 a "roomy" car or a vehicle to haul people around in, this is not this car. For sale, my 1986 VW Scirocco 16v. I bought this car off e-Bay in 2005 from Penn. It was a stripped shell and basically I have rebuilt and reassembled it over the years, with many modifications you won't find on any Scirocco out there. I am a 20 year ASE Certified Technician, so anything done on this car has been done how it is suppose to be done. When any parts were removed or replaced, they were cleaned and painted. It is in mechanically great shape with a ton of new parts. The body is in excellent shape, but needs to be painted, I had a guy that said "he could paint cars" and did a HORRIBLE JOB. So I have sanded down all the runs and fisheye and primered it black, it will only need a GOOD paint job to be perfect. New Monroe front struts, new strut mounts and bushings, the rear has 5 year old Boge struts, and 5 year old Eibach Lowering Springs all around. New axleshafts less than a year old, Auto Zone lifetime warranty . This spring the headgasket was replaced, head milled, valve job, and a new timing belt. New fuel pump and fuel filter. New master cylinder. Radiator and fan switch replaced last year. New belts. Audi 140 amp alternator. Has 2 batteries, 1 Diehard International under the hood (3years old) 1 Interstate battery in rear hatch area, less than a year old. Ball joints and tie rod ends changed last year. New front wheel bearings and hubs replaced this suumer. Power windows, power brakes, power steering. The steering rack and pinion was replaced 2 years ago. It has a 1991 Jetta GLI 16v 2 liter engine 140,000 miles, installed 3 years ago, utilizing the OEM CIS-E computer system. New O2 sensor. The 5 speed transmission is from a 1996 VW Cabrio which was just installed. The clutch, new shifter bushings and adjustable short shifter and weighted shift rod was installed 2 years ago. Just installed, new Gemo clutch cable. Has a front end "eyebrow", or "grill spoiler", with H4 headlight conversion with xenon bulbs. Hood scoop with Dzus Fasterners. Front upper and lower tie bars, rear upper tiebar. The OEM bumpers are moved in 2 inches. KMC "Big Alice" 16 inch rims, 205/45/16 tires on the front, 205/50/16 tires on the rear,80%-90% trend. Drilled and slotted rotors all the way around. With wheel studs and lugnuts, no wheel bolts, two locking lugs per wheel. Front mono wiper. Stainless steel tuner muffler. Exhaust header. Accel spark plug wires. On the inside, it has a sunroof with an Audi power sunroof conversion, with an extra motor, no cranking open or closed. Has an Audiovox aftermarket cruise crontrol, the original cruise control is mostly intact, I just never got around to fixing it. Has perfect Recaro power height control front seats, (always covered with towels) and functional seat belts. The seats alone are going for anyway from $500-$850 a pair on e-Bay. I have the rear seat Recaro material to recover the rear seats to match. A couple small cracks on the dash. 160 mph speedo with 8000 RPM tach with white face gauges and purple LED dash lights. 3 console mounted gauges, water tempurature, oil pressure, and battery volts. 1 liquid filled fuel pressure gauge, mounted under the hood. Hurst shifter handle. Custom black headliner. Lighted rear view mirror. Has A/C but seems like the compressor may be leaking. Purple neon lights, 4 underneath the car and 3 inside the car, and purple neon pedals. 2 Jensen amps, 2 Jensen 10 inch subs, and 2 Jensen 6X9 speakers mounted on the rear parcel shelf. Bulldog talking alarm. I wanted to put a VR6 in it, but after alot of research, it is more than I want to get into. I just purchased a 1997 Golf GTI, and I already have a MK3 Cabrio, so I have other projects planned and I feel I have gone as far with this car as I can and I hope someone will buy this car that wants to take it to the next level. The car has not been driven in the winter, once salt is on the roads, its not driven. The underneath is real clean and has rust free doors from Georgia. The car is sold AS-IS, WHERE IS. I have a clear title, ready to go and can give you a Bill Of Sales also, if requested. The car gets 30-35 MPG, Highway, 25 MPG local driving. I really hate to let the car go, it's a real head turner and there are less and less of these around, but I have other projects ahead. Thanks for looking.
