Vehicle Detail

1998 Honda Shadow Aero 1100 This is it...the one you've been looking for. I searched months for this bike when I purchased it from the original about 5 years ago. If you want the look of a classic cruiser...not one of the cruisers on the market today that lack real character, but an honest to goodness cruiser...long, low and loud...not so loud as to get hasseled everytime you go out, but a nice rumble that lets texting drivers around you know you're there and sounds great when you want to blip the throttle at a stop light. If you want something comfortable and big enough to handle a weekend trip a couple of states away, but nimble enought to navigate in-town traffic on days when you want to ride into the office. If you want a bike that's dressed up a bit, but don't want to pay a small fortune to do so... ...if this sounds like you, you've found your next bike! Over $3000 in receipts for chrome work including front forks, brake calipers, floor boards, bar risers, triple clamp, levers, heads, etc... Tons of very tasteful extras including: Air Horn Spotlights Windshield Light Visors Engine Guard Custom Grips Luggage Rack Custom Mirrors Wide beach bars Chrome side covers Polished shaft cover Chrome front hub cover Chrome front & rear fender extensions Multiple seat options (see details below) Leatherworks.com quick detach & lockable studded leather saddlebags and T-bag with conchos and fringe Rear adjustable Progressive Suspension springs & multiple seat options (approx. $2000 worth of Corbin seats & backrests) allow you to create several unique looks with the bike from a laid-back sleek muscle cruiser with the 1-up Corbin ostrich seat to a more comfortable long-distance 1-up set-up with the studded Corbin seat and saddle bags to a full blown 2-up cruiser for long distance riding with the matching studded Corbin passenger pad, Mustang studded backrest and full bags. Regardless of set-up, the Vance & Hines Long Shots pipes provide an amazing low rumble...paired with the lope of the single-pin offset crankshaft engine it fools a lot of folks and really turns heads. Only 2 adult owners, great glossy paint, never down and just a couple of very small blemishes from initial rides with new accessories on (clearance issues with a cable tie and a soft rear suspension setting). Approx. 29k miles spent mostly on the highway including a 1,000 mile loop of Michigan 3 rides ago. Very well maintained at the local Honda dealer including recent new brakes and newer rear tire. Includes full cover for storage & tons of receipts from all of the upgrades since new. I hate to let it go and have struggled mightily with this decision because I know I'll never find another one like it, but a 3 year old at home limits my time to ride and it's time to let it go. Please feel free to call five seven four, three seven seven, one eight zero four for any questions. Additional pics available! On Oct-09-12 at 20:09:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Tonight, I added several more pictures showing the saddle bags and all of the different seat options. I also included three pics showing the cosmetic blemishes mentioned...all of which were present when I purchased the bike several years ago. One is of a small chip on top of the rear fender caused when a ratchet handle hit the fender when removing the rider seat. The chip does not show when the passenger pad is installed, but I have and will include a small bottle of Honda touch-up paint. Another pic shows a small chip at the bottom of the rear fender where a soft rear suspension setting allowed the fender to kiss the rear brake caliper. This does not show when the saddle bags are installed. The last shows a small dimple in the front of the tank where a poorly placed cable tie installed on the new beach bars hit in a tight turn. I honestly didn't see this myself for the first few weeks I owned it, but checked the pics from the original owner more closely and saw it present. It is in a very obscure location that is mostly hidden by the bars and cables and does not show when riding, but it want to fully dislose everything so as not to jeopardize my 100% positive feedback rating! I have many, many more pictures and a video of it running that I shot tonight that I can provide.
