My Baby for sale! I have too many cars sitting around here and need to sell this one to make room for the next one. I restored this Ghia about 5 years ago and have only driven it a few times each summer. I did just take it on a 500 mile round trip to Volksfest in Yakima this fall. It did great. It is not perfect but is really cool and always gathers a crowd. The paint is pearlescent lexus black cherry. It is nearly black in the shade and bright metallic purple in the sun. It might have 2000 miles on it at the most. NADA High is $22,600, average is $13,600, the reserve is less than half of that. Mods and etc.: 2110cc Stroker ( $7000 invested) Blow through turbo with CB Performance tubing, headers and carb hats on Dual Dellorto carbs Electric fuel pump Large external oil cooler with fan Extra oil sump on bottom for more capacity MSD ignition and boost timing retard control Rancho Performance Pro-Street transaxle Custom rims and tires that are basically new Headlights from a bus frenched in Ragtop All trim and driprails shaved Electric door opener Kenwood cd player, amp and 10" sub in custom box behind back seat, 6x9's in package tray (cost $1200) TMI Oatmeal interior (tan and light brown) Sound mat on floor and inside doors, and sides New floor pans Body panels around entire back replaced New wiring, New tailights, and new halogen headlights Boost Gauge 12 volt alternator Pros: Fast, loud, powerful and very cool. Almost all new. Cons: small scratches in finish from the stupid cat climbing on it. some chipping around doors Body guy didn't fit the doors very well so they really need to be customized to fit and repainted Door window tints are scratched Not a great job on the headlights but not too bad Body was really rusted out when I got it so its not a pristine body. The body guy did very good on the replacing panels and filler though. It is very straight. Does not have heater or defrost because of the high performance exhaust Needs: Torsion bars need to be adjusted because it looks like its going up hill :) I would put a new lowered front end and disc brake kit on back. Needs oil in transaxle I think, got harder to shift and made a couple clunks on the trip to Yakima, After I pulled over for a minute it would be fine again. I think the oil just all went out into the axles on the long stretches of highway or something and then ran back down when I stopped. It happened once on the way over and once on way back. I would replace all the oil lines with the braided steel lines, just never got to it. I didn't put in a manual way to open the doors if the battery is dead so I would put something in for that. Dash is painted and does not have the pad or wood grain on the front Something is up with the wipers, I just finally put the wipers back on and when I tested them the motor smoked so I turned it off and haven't tried since. Not exactly the car you want in the rain anyway with that ragtop. So, I have tried to describe this Ghia as well as possible. It is not going to be a super clean original car because of the mods but is very cool. In the words of the guy that saw it at the carwash this summer " That's the coolest car I have ever seen! $200 non refundable deposit is due by paypal upon winning to cover the cost of the auction. Must be paid in full before it leaves my house and within 2 weeks. You will need to arrange shipping. It should be trailered because of the bad weather and because it needs transaxle oil.
