Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is this 1967 ford mustang coupe. This would make a nice easy project for someone looking for one to build that does not have alot of knowledge on how to build one or for someone looking to build a near complete simple project. The car is intact and will run. When I got it the car had been sitting up for several years. I got it home put a new gas tank in it cleaned the carburator and it cranked up. The car will for sure need some fine tuning mechanically. It will probably need a good tune up and some more carburator work. It is not driveable like it is. I just wanted to make sure it would fire up. I put it in all the different gears when it was running and it moved so the transmission and clutch work. I do have receipts where the car underwent a complete restoration around 2000 so the motor was overhauled then. The car will also need an exhaust system under it. As far as the interior it is still nice. The seat covers, dash pad, door panels are good. I have a new headliner and carpet to go with it. All the glass is good except for the windshield. It got busted somehow. I have a good windshield to go with it and the gasket for it. The chrome is good on it. Both bumpers are in good shape. The floor pans and frame rails are in good shape. The car was originally a 6 cylinder car and was converted to a V8. I think it is a 289 in it but it could be a 302. They are about identical sitting in the car. I have hood hinges for it. The hood hinges are bad. As far as the body it will need some body work but not a whole lot of it. The front drivers fender is dented in. Someone might could straighten it out but it would probably be easier to get another one and change it out. With the exception of the fender I have about everything to go with it to fix it. I have a clear title to it. This would make a good project if you are hunting one to build. It would just need a little body work and little mechanical work and you could drive it like it is. If you have questions or need more info email me or give me a call at 318-278-1069. I will require full payment within seven days of the end of auction. I would prefer cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for this car. I can store it as long as needed as long as it is paid for in full. The car will have to be picked up in Jonesboro Louisiana. The VIN on the car is 7R01T107044.
