It is owned by my design company (of which I am the only employee). It is my personal car, and it has been serviced on schedule, mainly at Volvo Irvine, California, which is close to the Volvo corporate headquarters. The car carried a Volvo Extended Warranty until 83,765 miles. There is no deferred maintenance I know of. The next maintenance service is due at 105,000 miles. Average annual mileage during my ownership has been 11, 495 per year. I recently drove the car from Portland, Oregon to Laguna Beach, California. I noticed no issues, and it performed beautifully. The tires were just replaced at 98,536. The car has just passed its California smog test, no work being required. It shows only minor wear, rather less than you might expect for a 100,000 mile vehicle. The orange carpeting in the rear area (see photo) is Volvo original, brand new, it was never used. It's been rolled and in storage that's why it shows some folds. The third seat comes along with most of the original trim, so the seat could be removed if wished. Minor faults include: - Some wear to the front and back seats and the between-the-seats front box (lid is loose)- Minor marks on the plastic interior trim and rear bumper in the tailgate area- Minor marks on the orange carpets- Two very small body marks of the type that can be removed by paintless dent removal, rear passenger side panel- Paint is wearing on the Euro bars, see photo. These can be repainted. (Known issue, one bar was replaced under warranty.)- Some deterioration of the windshield rubber (both sides), a known issue on this car- Some kerb marks on all wheels, the rear wheels being more affected.- Front wheels rub slightly on front lock. (This has been the case since new.)- One ignition key has lost its spring opening, but it still useable. (This is an easy, inexpensive fix at the dealer.) This is not an exhaustive list, there may be other things I'm not aware of. The car comes with all service records and all sales documents, 2004 brochures, manuals and leather Volvo manual holder. Overall, this is a quite uncommon but amazingly versatile vehicle, whether you want it as a luxury car, for business use, as a family wagon (ideal for young children), or as a load-carrier, load-puller. It's often admired, with probably its most attention-getting feature being the Atacama seats in orange (the same color, as I recall, that was used on Ferrari interiors in the 1980s).
