Vehicle Detail
Selling my Camaro because it needs some work to be done, I am not that guy, and I am not going to pay to have it done. That sounds kinda bad I know, but maybe someone else would appreciate it more than myself, I am not a body guy. I have enough pics to be accurate in the description I believe and should provide adequate information. The trunk is solid, but the pic shows rust, this happened last summer when my cooler drained leaked the water out of it, and I did not find it in time as I only drive this car once in a while. Trunk is FINE. If the car was going to be restored properly, the floor pans in the rear for sure need to be replaced, I just put new carpet in it, and the fronts are solid, but appear to have little bitter pin holes in various places. The lower front quarters a starting to bubble. The hood has been closed on a carb air cleaner bolt that was too long so it has THAT spot in it. Other than those items, it is solid. Frame is perfect. Drives very well, does not pull any time, even when applying brakes, stops in a straight line. Does not "crash" around when driving over rough surfaces ie railroad tracks, My past Camaro's sound like they are going to lose the doors, this one does not do that. Factory radio and speakers all work correctly, but I never found the correct knobs. Headliner is there but is falling down again. Glued it, but did not last. The heater core is out of it because it leaked, never put on back in it. Engine is 350 but is only a 2 bolt main, so it is not correct for the car. The transmission is correct and dated correctly but is not numbers matching to the car. Rear end is the original 10 bolt posi for the car. It is a Z28, has the proper suspension for sway arms etc, welded brackets to rear frame etc.. Wheels are correctly dated with the beauty rings and center caps. Dash is of course curled up, I tried a heat gun on it and made it better, but still not perfect. There is a rust hole on the inside steel part of the dash next to the VIN plate like the windshield leaked or something. Not bad, but is really irritating to me. Car is insured for 14,000.00 because that is what it would be worth if it was done correctly. The interior is there. Like I said, the carpet is new, the console is what I would call 80% because of a couple of cracks in the side of it. The sets in back are good and not tore up. The fronts need to be redone. I have the correct one for the driver side with the additional back adjustment lever position, but it is not in the car. The one in the car is just a seat with bad vinyl on it. Dash display is factory tach. Amp guage and clock of course do not work. And someone put a hole in the spot for the rear defrost fan for something, but nothing there but a hole now. Runs strong and drives great!
