I am selling my beloved 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4 X 4. I have had this Jeep since 2004 and it has never left me stranded. I love this Jeep so much I have spent over $4000 in aftermarket parts on it, in addition to the regular maintenance and repairs. This is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. When I acquired it in 2004, I liberally undercoated it and that was a great move because it is not all rusted out. The Jeep is solid! There only visible rust is under the driver side doors on the rocker panel. There is a smaller amount on the passenger side in the same spot. This vehicle was always kept clean and vacuumed. The four wheel drive works. The hardest part about me selling this Jeep is letting go of the engine. The 4.0 L straight six runs and sounds great. It is one of the best engine designs in the world. The transmission works fine, too. The only thing it needs is a battery and some work on the hood (it doesn't latch) and the power steering; it leaks. It didn't pass NY inspection last time I had it on the road, but the thermostat is stuck open and I have one for it I never put it. I think that's what caused it to code up. I will include that with the vehicle. You would also be welcome to all paperwork I have on maintenance, etc. over the years. It has a clean title.
