Vehicle Detail

Up for sale here is my 2008 Mercedes Benz C300. MSRP with the options listed (as seen by the window sticker) was over $40,000! I have 2 other cars and a motorcycle and thus don't have the time and space to properly ride/drive them all. The car only has 40,000 miles. I've babied this car since I've bought it and have always had on-time and impeccable service done at Mercedes Benz of Greenwich Connecticut (have all the records). I hit a small rock before which damaged the front of the car. I reported it to insurance because the body part in question was rather expensive (>$10k) and though the car was still running (and fine) at the time, I wanted it in mint condition. This of course, is corroborated by documented data from Mercedes Benz of Greenwich (who have excellent service). The interior and exterior are both Black and in excellent condition. Tires are in great condition. I would hazard to say that you are getting a car in new condition for a fraction of the price I paid for it. I bought the car because I thought that the styling for the C-series of this generation was just great with it's aggressive styling. The car turned out to be great as a driver as well (outperforming my other cars as a fun driver in my opinion). Not as smooth of a ride in many ways as a Lexus or as much of a driver's car as a BMW but a nice mix of the two. I'll be sad in some ways to see it go. My reserve is set at $12k just so that the car doesn't go for an absurdly low price (I'd rather give it away to a worthy charity in that case). I'd very much prefer pick-up of the car but if the seller can assure me a hassle free shipping arrangement of the item, I'd be amenable to suggestion. In any case, I will post more photos of the car later (and upon request if necessary) so please On Nov-02-12 at 16:39:07 PDT, seller added the following information: All - been somewhat delayed in responding to all the questions and posting more photos because of Sandy (I also realize I didn't finish writing the description above). However, rest assured that I'll get to all of you guys eventually. Here's additional information that seems to answer frequent questions: 1. Does the car have a clear title and what was the extent of the damage? A: Absolutely. In fact it was never reported to insurance as a major accident or the like because the damage sustained was fairly slight. The damage was sustained when I hit a rock and it damaged the front body parts (I'm not a car guy so I don't know precise terminology). It didn't damage any of the drive train. In fact the repair folks told me that I could drive it as it was. However, I reported it to insurance because I have a premium policy that allows me to collect past a deductible on minor body damage. As such I decided that I wanted it repaired as it was not very attractive. Executive Summary: The car was fine, the accident was no big deal (verified by documentation I have of course) and it drives 100% and is 100% now. I hope this answers any questions on this particular issue. 2. Can I come see the car? A: I have a very busy schedule and one of the reasons why I'm posting this car on ebay rather than trading it in or selling it to the dealer is that I don't have the time to show everyone the car, fax copies of titles to third parties or anything like that. However, if you do win the car, pay the deposit and after seeing the car find that I misrepresented anything I will be more than happy to refund your money no questions asked. I stand by the car 100% and have documentation to support my statements. 3. More Photos A: Because of the Hurricane, my house in CT (where the car is located) is without power and I don't plan on going until it's restored (perhaps this weekend). If you're really dying for photos, go to "CT Light and Power"'s website, see how many customers in Greenwich remain without power (it's about 50% now). There's fallen trees, power lines and all sorts of messy things I don't want to deal with until the Town takes care of it in a few days.If you live in the Northeast, I'm sure you have a sense of why I don't want to make an hour trip up there from NYC for the sole purpose of taking photos of my car for sale. It's a completely stock Mercedes Benz C300. There's a flip up navigation in the middle, black MB Tex seats, standard stuff. As such, the internet will have plenty of photos as well.
