1968 Galaxie XL fastback. Very original car. This car has never been restored, but I do not know the full history as the car was purchased at auction about 4 years ago. I do know the auction company listed it as being garage kept its entire life. When you see the car up close, there's no doubt about that. This car is a survivor, very original and in excellent overall condition. 390 V8 runs very strong, trans shifts nicely. It doesn't get too much time on the road, so there is a slight hesitation during initial excelleration, but this can certainly be corrected with carb tune-up, possibly points, plugs, etc. At 70 MPH on the highway this baby just floats and is a blast to drive! A few highlights: Interior is very nice. Seats and upolstery in very good shape Underneath car is excellent. No rust, excellent floor boards, no issues found to report Original spare in trunk, with jack Big block 390, with original 2 barrel carb Power steering Power brakes, front disc brakes 8 track tape player under front dash on floor, works fine. Looks to be a factory added option, but I cannot be certain Body notes: I have shown up close photos of the minor nicks/dents to the body. One is passenger side of hood, one on pass side rear C pillar, small dent on chrome trim on pass side door Please look at the photos carefully, as they are part of the description. Here are some additional notes: Gas gauge does not work. All other guauges function properly I posted a photo of the NOS tail light w/box. That goes with the car b/c the pass side lens has a hole in it. Dad bought that piece at a swap meet, never got around to installing it on the car. Original, FoMoCo replacement lens The oil pan has damage. Looks like it was hit by something, bottom of the pan is dented, see additional photo Interior - everytime I take pictures, the sun is blasting through the glass making photos very difficult. It looks better in person than the photos show. There are 3 small holes in the headliner, no larger than a nickle each. I will try to add some additional interior pics Exterior - I'm also adding more pics of the body nicks/scrapes. I included my hand in the photos so you gauge the size of each imperfection I've been asked for more photos of the trunk - you'll see me pointing to one very small dent on the decklid, I just noticed that so I wanted to mention it Also posting additional photos of suspension and undercarriage as requested
