Hi folks. Up for auction is a 1955 Chevy 2-door post. This project was started several years ago and was never finished. The body was pulled from frame and new front floor panels were installed along with new floor braces, and inner and outer rocker panels. The quarter panels and trunk area never got done and definitely need some work. Included are an extra set of full quarters, which are not cherry but could be used or as patch panels. The trunk floor has a partial panel but probably could use a whole one. The doors are solid and open and shut nice. All the glass is in really nice shape. The windshield has a small rock chip, the back glass needs to be installed and I do have the new rubber seal. Have a good left fender that goes with the car. The right fender needs work. Has all the seats, and panels but needs upholstered. The dash is still intact, even has key in the ignition switch. There are no interior door handles or window cranks. The frame was totally taken apart and blasted. Everything was primed with epoxy, urethane and blocked a couple of times and shot with ppg deltron. Really looks nice when cleaned up. Has new 2 inch drop spindles , disk brakes, braided front brake lines, upper and lower control arm bushings, ball joints, etc. The rear end is a 3:36 posi with new clutch discs installed. Has the P stamped on the carrier. New brake shoes, drums, wheel cyls. Springs and hardware. No motor or transmission. This is a solid car to build, and a lot of the hard work is done. These old 55 2 doors are really getting hard to find. Would consider possible trade. Clear Missouri title. Will send addition pics on request. Thank you for your bid. On Oct-29-12 at 15:54:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Found the inside door handles and one window crank - still looking for the others. The driver's window was rolled down, and when we rolled it up we noticed that there was a crack in the left bottom corner as seen in the added pic. All the windows roll up and down. This car has been in dry storage for several years.On Oct-31-12 at 17:14:42 PDT, seller added the following information: forgot to mention in ad that the rear splash pan below trunk needs replaced. i bought one for it and was going to install it when i done the quarters.
