Must SEE to Believe- One of the Best Ford Bronco II Examples in Existence!! Relisted due to inexperienced Ebayer; did not follow through with commitment. Therefore, if you do not have a score greater than 10, please contact me before bidding or your bid will be rejected. Vehicle is being listed with no reserve starting at $500 to alllow the vehicle to sell at its market value. Now to the matter at hand. Thank you for viewing this 2 owner 1988 Bronco II XLT. As you enthusiasts will note; this is the last year of the original body style. This bronco is in PHENOMENAL condition; the perfect mix of classic, custom and preservation. This vehicle appeals to the purest, the classic lover and the custom hot rodder!! The list of add on’s and upgrades are endless. However, I will attempt to hit the high points in this ad. To be clear; there is not a speck of rust; anywhere on the vehicle. It has a stunning red/burgundy exterior with a red interior color which, while it is like new it is truly understated in the photos; the truck presents even better in person. The headliner, door panels, dash, carpets and seats almost look as they did after rolling off of the Ford Motor Company assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky. I acquired the vehicle from its first owner whom had stored the vehicle in her garage for several years after acquiring a newer Ford Explorer. She was tired of leaving the Explorer on the driveway and decided one of them had to go; I guess you know the rest of the story. Since the truck had sat idle so long, I towed it home even though it seemed to run just fine; I did not want to risk tarnishing this jewel by moving it with old fluids. Once I got her home, I took on the following tasks to make sure she was road ready: Removed and cleaned the fuel tank. Performed an oil and filter change. New Plugs, wires, cap and rotor Refreshed the transmission fluid along with replacing the gasket and filter. Replaced the belts and inspected the hoses Replaced the transmission modular valve After the aforementioned items were taken care of, along with removing a few bee hives from under the hood, I detailed the engine; then she was ready for the road test. My first road trip was a joy; old and young drivers could appreciate the care and preservation taken by the previous owner. I noticed as with older model Ford and GM vehicles, there was some play in the steering. Knowing where to problem lie, I immediately replaced the steering box , had her aligned and now she drives straight and true. Being the enthusiast that I am, I decided to take it to the next level; I love to make something good GREAT! The next metamorphosis of the truck included: Replacing the side mirrors with new units identical to the OEM Adding the ARIES bull bar. Adding fog lights Adding Westin Step Bars With the height, I added a rear custom step bar; looks mean! Adding a rear spoiler to add character to the rear flat profile. Adding a 2000 Explorer roof rack Adding Mickey Thompson 10 wide polished wheels. Adding new aggressive but soft tires 2000 Ford Explorer matching center arm rest and storage tray. Adding the chrome trim package And most importantly; I bought a 1989 engine, rebuilt it and replaced it; new valve covers, seal and gaskets and a few more HP! She runs like new!!! The list goes on and on. At current, I present one of the cleanest Bronco II models out there. All components and gauges function properly; and yes, ice cold air conditioning. The vehicle; she needs nothing!!. I have started the bid low and you will be surprised with the reserve. The pictures speak for themselves. If you have a zero feedback, please contact me prior to bidding. good luck and thanks for your interest. !
