Many people prefer the ’66 because of the different grille and new mustang specific gauges (earlier models had Falcon-based gauges). It is in excellent condition and ready to be driven anywhere. It always gets lots of compliments at car shows. Exterior: The exterior is finished in a beautiful dark blue. The car was repainted last year. It has the rare steel wheels with new tires. The rear end has a posi unit. All of the trim is correct and in good condition. Engine: The engine is a 289ci V8. It was rebuilt 3 years ago (over $3K spent on engine rebuild). The engine features a larger cam, so it has some more ponies under the hood than it left the factory with. The engine is connected to an automatic transmission that features a shift kit. It is fast and fun to drive. Interior: The interior is in great condition. The seats look brand new. A cassette radio has been retrofitted in the dash and uses the original knobs to control it.
