Vehicle Detail

Greetings. Up for auction is my rare 1986 Pontiac 2+2 Aerocoupe. This is the nicest of the 6 that I have owned. Designed by Richard Petty for NASCAR, Pontiac built only 1,118 of the street legal version of Petty's race car . I'm second owner of this vehicle, and I've driven it less than 1000 miles since I've owned it. It was repainted the factory color, and re-striped about 3 or 4 years ago. It's a show quality paint job, but it does have a small blemish under the paint above the driver's door on the roof. It's about the size of 2 postage stamps. The engine runs like a top. I would honestly trust this car to go cross country. The original owner updated the speakers in the back for better sound, and added an alarm system with remote control to lock and unlock the doors. The rear view mirror was also replaced with a newer G.M. style, with two reading lights wired in. Tires have about 75% tread left. The car will need the seats recovered. I do have a roll of the correct 1986 dated material that should be enough to redo the seats I will throw in. The rest of the interior is nice. It will need a new passenger window motor soon ($22.00 right now on ebay). The heater blower motor only blows on high, not sure if fuse or switch. The a/c still works, not very cold, but compressor still has full pressure. I have a walk-around video up at youtube of the car titled " 1986 Pontiac 2+2 Aerocoupe Greenwood SC South Carolina" link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4uy09PpT9Q&feature=plcp . I really do hate to sell, but I'm saving up for my wedding, and trying to get my Corvair restoration business off the ground. I had no problem insuring this car for $12,000 , and I'm opening no reserve bidding at $4,000. A monte carlo ss in this shape would bring much more than opening bid ( and they made over 160,000 of them). Don't let the low opening scare you, it is a great looking car that attracts a crowd at car shows. Car is being sold as is, where is. Car is located in Greenwood, SC. I will help load vehicle, and may be able to deliver to nearest shipping facility. Car has no known mechanical issues if you want to drive it home, just keep in mind it is a 26 year old car. A $500 deposit within 48 hours of closing would be great, with 100% balance by paypal, bank transfer (cleared) or cash upon pick-up. Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for looking, Chris
