Vehicle Detail
For Sale is this 1995 YJ Hard Top that is currently in service. This truck has a fairly low for it's age 118K miles on it, and has served me reliably for 2+ years. I dropped $650 into the braking system when I first got it, and put a new starter on it over the summer, and that's all I have needed to do to it. The 4 cylinder engine has been 100% for me, and has started on all the coldest Rochester mornings. The 5 speed manual transmission, having been professionally rebuilt by the previous owner, shifts perfectly. This Jeep has a 3 inch 'hockey-puck' lift kit. It has a pair of aftermarket 'sport' seats. There is a pair of Pioneer 6 x 9 speakers in this Jeep, hooked up to a stereo that is missing it's faceplate. An aftermarket switch has been added to lock in the 4WD. I've found it to be a bit of a pain in the ass, but the 4WD works just fine. The previous owner told me it could be taken out and you could go back to 'factory' controls of the 4WD system. The high/low shifter works fine and is not related to this aftermarket switch. This is a fairly presentable Jeep Wrangler, with less body rust than many in this age range. Has pretty decent tires. Underneath you should be prepared to do a repair on the driver's side floor plan or you will be getting wet! Very early on when this truck was 2 years old, it was in an accident that I'm told resulted in new full frame rails and a new front clip- and the title is therefore marked PA SALVAGE. SUMMARY: The Good: Lower use reliable engine, great shifting trans/clutch. Hard Top. Decent presenting/looking truck for this price range. The Less Good: Needs a quick floor pan fix, has various little flaws that anyone shopping for a 17 year old Jeep should not be too stunned by. For example: the doors don't lock, and passenger door handle doesn't open door from the inside. The bulb on the tack gauge is out. Put this vehicle into the Kelley Blue Book website, select Private Party Sale, indicate power steering and Hardtop, and for FAIR condition you will get the result of $3,801. Now compare to my price!!! I'm moving out of state and prepared to sell at a very good price for my buyer. If you are in my region and would like to see the vehicle before bidding, arrangements can be made. THANK YOU!!!
