DEAL ALERT!!! NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! Up for sale we have a 1984 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk that we took in trade recently from a client of our dealership. We are Honda motorsports dealership & we were diagnosing a poor running issue for a service department client when he decided to trade the bike in. We are offering this motorcycle as a project bike or fixer upper, and therefore we are listing with NO RESERVE!!! Earlier this summer, the previous owner of this motorcycle did a spring tune up, with fresh oil & filter, fresh air filter, carb clean, along with fresh brake & fresh clutch fluid. Earlier this summer the previous owner also replaced the fork seals, replaced the turn signal relay, and replaced the brake light switch. Between all of these services & parts, the previous owner spent over $1300 in repairs trying to keep this motorcycle on the road for the summer. This Honda Nighthawk 650 currently does run (but rough) however our client had the bike riding regularly on the road up until a few weeks ago. We have diagnosed this motorcycle again and confirmed that the engine is only firing on cylinders 1 & 4. The engine running problem is a loss of spark on the 2 & 3 cylinders. Our service department tech has found that this engine needs a new pulse generator for cylinders 2 & 3 which are not firing properly. This would be a great winter project for the next owner & this bike could be an easy fix to get back on the road. Please do not bid if you are not prepared to purchase.
