1954 STUDEBAKER COMMANDER, 47K MILE SURVIVOR, GARAGE FIND - This Stude has been stored away in a dry garage in WV since 1972. This Stude is completely original including its 47K miles, having only two (2) previous owners. Car was bought new at Porterfield's Garage in Martinsburg, WV. Just installed four (4) new Coker wide whites on repainted rims, new exhaust and fuel pump. Runs, drives, and shifts as it should. Whisper quiet V8 with auto transmission. All lights work properly, gas gauge does not. Left RR door glass has a crack, but fully intact. Shifter knob is broke but included. Carpet is very dry, coming apart in the driver's area; rest of interior original and very servicable. The original paint will need buffed to bring back luster. Check out the right RR quarter which has been buffed. It looks great! All of the chrome is original and looks very good. Engine and trunk compartments look very good. This Stude has patina such as light bumps and bruises, but does not have any rust through; although some rust beginning to bubble in one lower fender area (pictured). This car is a true, unmolested, low mileage survivor. You will be proud to add this to your collection. TITLE-IN-HAND. Car can be stored up to 30-days.
