1988 Volvo station wagon with standard 4cyl 2.3 engine and automatic transmission. Driven daily but bought a new minivan. Car runs great with absolutely no mechanical problems. Manual windows, fold down rear seat (seven passenger), overdrive works, all electrical works, heater is good but noisy every now and then. It's been maintained according to the service schedule, flame trap and all. I love 240s, it was one of the best cars ever made IMO. We've been on several cross-country trips with it. Has a class 1 hitch installed. This is an extremely dependable car, most all things in need of repair are cosmetic. Fender, rear hatch and hood rust-throughs on edges, rust areas have been touched up with Rustoleum preventative paint. Missing trim on front doors. Parking brake needs tightening. Seam tears in front seats, cracked dash and door trim. License plate light rewired with large gauge wire, rear hatch gas cylinder worn out so I propped it up with a stick when open. Gas gauge doesn't work but it's just the sender unit, easy fix if you want to bother. I just kept the tank topped off. Odometer has been broken for years, stopped at about 147k. I would estimate it's got about 40k more since then, we had 3 cars and two drivers. Tires are very good. This will make an excellent car for a daily driving or for a new driver. Local pickup only. We can meet you anywhere within 10 miles or father for a fee. You can drive it across the country if you're out-of-town (we could meet you at O'Hare Airport and you can take it from there).
