I started to restore a 1969 BMW 1600 but received a promotion at work and will need to relocate so the car needs to sell. I also have a 1974 2002 Parts Car that is included in this sale. The 1600 will have a non-running clear title that can be changed to normal once the car is road-worthy. The 2002 will have a bill of sale. If you win the auction, you will need to arrange transportation of both cars as both are sold together - I can help load them onto trailers if it is on a weekend. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1969 1600 Red Runs, but needs further tune-up. I've replace the oil, filter, spark plugs, new battery. It probably needs new points, etc. It has a two-barrel carburetor, with a new carburetor rebuild kit for it. I also have the original one-barrel carburetor and intake. The brake master cylinder was shot along with the front 2-piston calipers so I bought new-rebuilt 4-piston calipers and a rebuilt master cylinder - I was going to use the double lines off the parts car. Gas tank was rusted so I got another one - plus one in the parts car. Had a hole behind driver's seat in floor - welded in new panel. Spare tire well rusted out - welded in the one from the parts car. All the welds are Gorilla welds - ugly but strong... I do have the original tail lights and trunk latch. Dash is cracked - non-cracked one in parts car. While on jack stands I ran car through all gears and no noises or vibrations. Front grills bent. It has 1-2 inch rust cracks just below rear strut mounts - should be able to fix with MIG welder. It does have rust around the rear wheel openings and the rocker panels are rusted out - but those parts are available through Bav-Auto for less than $300. The seats vinyl is not ripped but in some places the piping is broken off. The front seats need the slide latch mechanism - on parts car. No seat belts - on parts car. No side mirrors - on parts car. No outside chrome trim - on parts car. Muffler has holes - will need to buy one. No carpet. I do have the original owner's manual. I have four rally style wheels and also four full hubcaps (for steel wheels). Hood has some small rust holes up front but could be repaired - or use parts car hood. Front fenders are rusted but I have two good used ones. Rear panel is rusted out pretty good but I've chemically stopped the rust - I was just going to cover all the spots with fiberglass and go from there... 1974 2002 Black Parts Car Head off motor but sitting in engine bay. Transmission still there but don't know if it's ok. No differential or exhaust. No seats except rear of back seat. Good dash. Good grills. Windshield cracked but all other glass good. Rear window has rear defrost lines in it. Sunroof is there but a little rusted. Driver's door rusted along with rear quarter-panels and rocker panels. I do have the original square tail lights. Good trunk lid. I've tried to include everything I know so you won't be surprised. You could make one good car with some work or use both for parts. I will be out of town until Thursday night but will be able to answer questions in the evenings.
