500cc twin cylinder two stroke. One of the last of the two stroke street bikes. Has all lights,turn signals,reflectors,mirrors,horn and they all work. This model has a lot of chrome including fenders,rims,headlight,chain guard,mirrors,exhaust pipes, all have no rust or pitting. The paint is original,shiny,not faded. The emblems are in good shape. The seat has no rips or tears. You can tell that this bike has always been garaged. Mechanically, this bike has new clutch plates,new rear sprocket, and brand new Continental tires. It runs strong and I can tell you that it is rock solid at 90mph and still has some left. I rode it today. For the sake of honest full disclosure I will list the following flaws: the front fender has a couple of dings on the top near where it passes through the front forks, the gas tank has two small dings down on the left side about where your knee rests against when riding but you have to be looking at the right angle and lighting to see them, the oil tank viewing window was weeping so I replaced it with a solid piece of plastic. The engine is a bit cold natured, sometimes it takes several kicks to start when it is cold. It could be that I have never quite mastered the cold starting technique. This model is kick start only. Once warm, it runs smoothly. Overall, this is a very nice bike, not mint or "like new" but in good condition, with a good clear title. It would be perfect for the person who wants to feel that two stroke power on a daily basis. There is no reserve, you just need to be at or above the opening bid.
