Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for auction is this very unique and very rare 1987 Widebody Mustang. The body kit was made by Mustang Power House (MPH) in the early 90’s. From the research I have done, less than 30 kits were produced. The chances of finding another one that survived are very slim. This car was featured on the July 1992 cover of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. It is in excellent condition and ready to be driven anywhere. It always gets lots of compliments at car shows and has won many trophies. Exterior: The exterior is painted a beautiful Porsche Guards Red. The MPH kit uses Thunderbird headlights and also has PIAA driving lights. The headlights have strobe lights in them. The widebody kit resembles Daytona style road race cars. The wheels are made by HRE; they are the mesh style with custom center caps with a Cobra head in them. The front wheels measure 17x10 and the rears measure 17x13. The front tires are 315/35/17 and the rear tires are 335/35/17. The rear end features a 4:10 ratio gear set. Engine: The engine is a 302ci (5.0l) High Output engine. It features a BBK fender well cold air intake. It has chrome valve covers and custom painted upper intake manifold. The exhaust system starts with SJO headers, which then flow into a Flowtech 2.5” H-pipe, which is followed by Flowmaster Force II piping and mufflers. The radiator and electric fan were replaced 7 months ago. The engine is connected to a T-5 5 speed manual transmission with a new clutch. Interior: The seats and door panels are 2-tone red and black. The dash has a larger tach with shift light. There is a button on the shifter for the line lock which has never been used. It has power door locks, power windows, tilt steering wheel and lumbar adjustable seats. It’s very comfortable to drive. The head unit is made by Pioneer and is a DEH-7400, it is Satellite radio ready (which is what the antenna on the top of the rear window is for). The tweeters are 3 ¼” Pioneers. The midrange speakers are 6x9 and 6.5” Pioneers. It also has a 10” Orion XTR DVC subwoofer that is connected to a Pioneer Premier RRS-X200 amp. There are very few of these cars remaining, I have never seen another one in person. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own this beautiful magazine cover car. This car is a real crowd pleaser.
